Patient and Family Rights
You have the right to:
- Respect of your values and beliefs (religious and other beliefs).
- Respect for privacy and confidentiality of care and information.
- Protection of your possessions from theft or loss.
- Protection from physical assault and other vulnerabilities.
- Participate in the care process and treatment plans.
- Seek a second opinion without fear of compromise to care.
- To be informed about the outcomes of planned care and treatment.
- To be told when informed consent will be required.
- To refuse medical treatment.
- Right for assessment and management of pain and respectful end of life care.
- To voice complaints, conflicts, and differences of opinion.
- To receive adequate information about your illness and proposed treatment(s).
- To know your care givers responsible for your care.
- To know how to donate organs and other tissues and to make a decision about donation in a setting free of coercion and pressure.
Patient and Family’s Responsibilities
You are responsible to:
- Provide complete and accurate medical history including current medications.
- Inform the treating team about any allergies to medications or food.
- Follow the treating physician and the Fakeeh Home Health Care staff’s recommendations and advice during treatment. .
- Follow the Fakeeh Home Health Care rules and regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.
- Respect the rights of the healthcare givers.
- Maintain the Fakeeh Home Health Care equipment’s, assets and systems.
